Evgeny Goncharov, an Enterprise Architect of Silvery, due to his competence and experience in Microsoft cloud technologies, was invited as a speaker at the Microsoft cloud workshop. Azure Optimized Architecture for partners. The workshop was held on the March 30th in the Microsoft Ukraine office and gathered more than 10 participants from different companies.
Evgeny presented the following topics:
1. Building a resilient IaaS architecture – Building disaster-resistant architectures in Azure.
2. Azure Optimized Architecture – Infrastructure optimization in Azure.
“The topics I presented at the Workshop are very relevant considering the desire of customers to protect and preserve their data without spending significant financial and other resources. Azure’s capabilities in building fault-tolerant and disaster-resistant architectures with the minimization of capital and operating expenses were demonstrated in the first training. Many of our customers have already deployed services in Microsoft Azure. But, very often this infrastructure “mirrors” servers on the ground and is not used optimally in reality. This leads to an increase of infrastructure costs. Therefore, in the second training I showed methods for optimizing the cost of owning an infrastructure without loss of productivity, such as Azure Scale Sets, Traffic Manager, transferring server infrastructure to the PaaS solution (Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, etc.), “said Evgeny Goncharov about his participation in the Workshop.
